Vitória de Santo Antão celebra 379 anos da Batalha das Tabocas com corrida, passeio ciclístico e programação cívica

Vitória de Santo Antão vai comemorar, no próximo sábado (03), os 379 anos da Batalha das Tabocas, um dos principais marcos de sua história. Na Praça do Anjo, no Livramento, autoridades e representantes da sociedade civil, participarão de uma tradicional solenidade a partir das 6h, que se estende ao Monte das Tabocas, na zona rural, onde se deu o fatídico confronto entre as tropas locais contra os invasores holandeses.

O aniversário da referida batalha contará com vários atos, incluindo hasteamento das bandeiras, pronunciamentos, saída da pira simbólica e da procissão motorizada de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré, além da apresentação da Banda Marcial 03 de Agosto e do Comando Militar do Nordeste (CMNE).

Também ocorrem, em meio à programação, a realização da 44ª edição da Corrida das Tabocas, e o 3º Passeio Ciclístico, com a expectativa de reunir aproximadamente 400 participantes nas duas modalidades. “Todas as secretarias se juntam para fazer uma festa grandiosa, que tem o tamanho da importância de nossa história. Nosso ato cívico tem uma relevância ímpar para os vitorienses”, salientou Demétrius Lisboa, secretário de Cultura, Turismo e Economia Criativa.

A Batalha das Tabocas, ocorrida em 03 de agosto de 1645, foi um passo importante para a expulsão do domínio holandês das terras pernambucanas. Na oportunidade, o forte comboio oponente e belicamente superior, não resistiu à unida e briosa tropa local que, com táticas de emboscada em meio aos tabocais, conseguiu afugentar os invasores estrangeiros.

8h30 – Saída da procissão motorizada com o andor de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré, em direção ao Monte das Tabocas;

8h – Abertura da Exposição ‘Memórias vivas da Batalha do Monte das Tabocas’;

8h30 – Ações das secretarias municipais;

9h – Ato cívico com hasteamento das bandeiras e chegada da pira simbólica;

9h30 – Apresentação da Banda Marcial do Colégio Municipal 03 de Agosto;

10h – Santa Missa presidida pelo Monsenhor André Martins;

12h às 16h – Apresentações culturais – Samba das Antigas e Nildo Ventura
