A cidade de Petrolina, no Sertão de Pernambuco, inaugurou nesta segunda-feira (15) a primeira escola de educação infantil em tempo integral do município. A unidade Izanice Nascimento Santos Sol Posto, localizada no bairro Jardim Petrópolis, tem capacidade para atender 188 estudantes com até 5 anos de idade.
A obra contou com um investimento de R$ 4 milhões e faz parte da política de expansão da educação em tempo integral em Petrolina.
A unidade conta com bloco administrativo; cozinha e área de serviço; rouparia e lavanderia; copa e vestiário para funcionários; refeitório; sala de reuniões; fraldário, lactário e sala de amamentação; 10 salas de aula climatizadas com banheiros; pisos emborrachados; telhas termoacústicas; pátio coberto; espaço para horta; espaço para playground; banheiros com acessibilidade, banheiros infantis; sala multiuso; jardim, entre outros.
O prefeito Simão Durando destacou que a unidade é um equipamento de referência para acolhimento dos pequenos e representa a oportunidade de construir novas histórias por meio da educação. “O Jardim Petrópolis era uma comunidade que não tinha nada, esquecida. Pois este foi o lugar que escolhemos para criar uma escola infantil modelo, a primeira em tempo integral de nossa cidade. Esse equipamento garantirá a muitas famílias o acesso a um ensino de qualidade e um local de referência para acolhimento dos nossos pequenos”, disse.
A inauguração da escola foi acompanhada por dezenas de famílias, vereadores, lideranças, além do deputado federal Fernando Filho, o deputado estadual licenciado e secretário de Turismo do Recife, Antônio Coelho, o ex- senador Fernando Bezerra e o ex-prefeito Miguel Coelho.
