Investimentos em educação garantem melhorias na qualidade do ensino, além de desenvolvimento social. Por isso, em Petrolina, essa tem sido umas principais bandeiras da gestão municipal que, nesta semana, iniciou a entrega do kit de material didático, mochila escolar e fardamento para os mais de 55 mil alunos das escolas e creches do município. Um ato simbólico foi realizado, nesta segunda (27), pelo prefeito Simão Durando, no bairro Jatobá para marcar o começo dessa entrega dos materiais.
O kit é composto por caneta, lápis, cadernos, borracha, apontador, tinta guache, massa de modelar, entre outros itens. Outra boa notícia, foi o início da entrega do fardamento escolar, nesta terça-feira (28), para todos os alunos das 220 unidades escolares. Neste ano, serão dois kits por aluno, que serão distribuídos em duas etapas.
De acordo com o prefeito Simão Durando, através da Secretaria de Educação, está sendo realizado um planejamento minucioso para acelerar a entrega dos itens aos alunos das creches e escolas. “Temos uma educação de referência e isso se dá graças aos investimentos. Esses kits de material escolar com mochila e fardamento vêm para somar às novas salas de aula, novas escolas em tempo integral, climatização de 100% da rede, os 15 novos ônibus entre tantas outras ações. Vamos seguir avançando nas políticas públicas voltadas para a educação. Esse é um compromisso da nossa gestão, que acredita firmemente no poder transformador que possui uma educação de qualidade”, concluiu o prefeito Simão Durando.
Referência – Petrolina é a cidade de médio e grande porte com melhor nota no Ideb nos anos iniciais em Pernambuco. O município acumula ainda o status de ter a maior rede pública de creches do estado e um dos maiores percentuais de salas de aula com climatização. A Prefeitura de Petrolina ainda busca expandir a rede municipal de escolas em tempo integral para até 2024 ser a maior de Pernambuco.
