Simão Durando acompanha início da construção do novo acesso ao bairro Ouro Preto

Atendendo um pedido da população, a prefeitura de Petrolina iniciou, neste domingo (2), as obras para a construção de um novo acesso para conectar os bairros Ouro Preto e Jardim Maravilha à Avenida Sete de Setembro. O início da intervenção foi acompanhado pelo prefeito Simão Durando. No local também será instalado um semáforo que deverá, além de melhorar o acesso das duas comunidades, dar mais segurança ao trânsito local.

A intervenção acontece após estudos técnicos e a autorização do Departamento Nacional de Infraestrutura de Transportes (DNIT). A obra contempla a demolição, aplicação de asfalto, implantação dos postes de metal e instalação do parque semafórico nas ruas Antônio Barracão e Bezerra de Menezes, no Ouro Preto. A previsão é finalizar a obra até a próxima sexta-feira.

“Fiz questão de acompanhar o início dessa intervenção, que foi um pedido da população após a duplicação da Avenida e desde então estivemos junto ao DNIT fazendo os estudos técnicos e agora estamos tirando do papel com muita responsabilidade. Essa passagem vai beneficiar, além do Ouro Preto e Jardim Maravilha, os outros bairros da área dando mais fluidez ao trânsito”, destacou o prefeito Simão Durando.
