Rodrigo Pinheiro recebe apoio do PP para a reeleição em Caruaru

O prefeito de Caruaru, Rodrigo Pinheiro, do PSDB, recebeu, na manhã desta sexta-feira (5), um importante impulso para sua campanha de reeleição com o apoio oficial do Partido Progressista (PP). No ato de filiação, o presidente municipal do PP, Edson Tavares, e o vereador Anderson Correia, expressaram o respaldo ao atual gestor.

“Essa é uma construção que foi feita de forma coletiva. Quando você tem um propósito e acredita no que faz, você sairá vitorioso. Vamos juntos com Rodrigo, que tem uma mente nova, inovadora e que quer fazer uma cidade diferente”, falou o vereador Anderson Correia.

O presidente municipal do PP, Edson Tavares, enfatizou a força do grupo e destacou a importância da união para fortalecer a reeleição de Rodrigo Pinheiro. “Esse grupo tem potencial para fazer três vereadores. Vamos transformar todas as nossas forças em votos e trabalhar para eleger vocês e para Rodrigo continuar o bom trabalho que está acontecendo aqui em Caruaru”, disse.

Com esse apoio significativo, Rodrigo Pinheiro falou sobre a montagem de um grupo forte para as próximas eleições. “A união com o PP promete consolidar uma frente forte e coesa. Esse é um grupo que contará com o nosso total empenho, da governadora Raquel Lyra e dos deputados Dudu e Lula da Fonte. Parabéns a todos pela montagem desse grupo que já é vencedor”, ressaltou Pinheiro.

O encontro também contou com os presidentes municipais do Avante e Podemos, Gilvan Calado e Anderson Luiz – respectivamente.

    Former Brazilian soccer player Robinho arrested after failed appeal

    Former Brazilian footballer Robson de Souza – also known as Robinho – was arrested by Federal Police on Thursday in Santos, in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, his lawyer told CNN affiliate CNN Brasil, as police cars were seen leaving his residence in Santos.

    The 40-year-old former AC Milan and Brazil striker faces nine years in prison after being convicted in Italy for gang raping a woman with five other men in 2013 after plying her with alcohol in a Milan nightclub.

    Robinho’s arrest comes as Brazil’s Supreme Court (STF) denied his appeal on Thursday to remain out of custody while all judicial appeals against his conviction are exhausted and ordered for the “immediate” start of his prison sentence, according to a statement from the STF.
    The footballer’s defense team had appealed to Brazilian authorities to allow Robinho to serve his jail time in Italy, rather than Brazil and to remain free while all appeal proceedings are ongoing, according to the STF decision.

    Robinho has always denied the charges.

    Following Thursday’s arrest Robinho is expected to face a custody hearing on Friday before being sent to a detention facility to being his prison sentence according to CNN Brasil.
