O presidente da Comissão de Educação e Cultura da Assembleia Legislativa de Pernambuco, deputado Waldemar Borges, demonstrou apreensão com os números apresentados pelo Governo do Estado no Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (ldeb) 2023, divulgado nesta quarta-feira (14) pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC) e o Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep). De acordo com o indicador, Pernambuco registrou 4,5 pontos no ensino médio, ficando abaixo da meta do Ideb projetada para o estado. Nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental, de responsabilidade principalmente dos municípios (1º ao 5º), o estado alcançou 5,7 pontos. O resultado representa um avanço de 0,2 pontos a mais do que a meta estabelecida para o estado no primeiro ciclo do Ideb (2007-2021). Nos anos finais (6º ao 9º) do ensino fundamental, de responsabilidade dos municípios e do estado, Pernambuco também atingiu a meta, com 5,0 pontos.
“Nosso estado há anos vem apresentando melhora nos índices do Ideb no ensino médio. A grande preocupação no passado era com o ensino fundamental, que também é ofertado pelos municípios. Pela primeira vez o ensino fundamental avançou e o ensino médio, que é de responsabilidade do estado, caiu. Isso expõe um retrocesso na qualidade de uma política pública que foi construída desde o Governo Eduardo Campos com muita competência e compromisso com a educação em Pernambuco”, declarou o deputado.
O parlamentar disse ainda que vemos em Pernambuco um retrocesso na segurança pública, revelado através de números dramáticos, um desmantelamento no sistema de saúde e agora a educação aponta para uma queda no ensino. “É lamentável e muito preocupante que as políticas públicas que apresentaram um avanço no passado estejam sendo desmanteladas”, ressaltou.
