Prefeitura do Recife e Tribunal de Justiça firmam acordo para adoção da Praça Dezessete em Santo Antônio

Nesta segunda-feira (08), a Prefeitura do Recife e o Tribunal de Justiça de Pernambuco (TJPE) assinaram um contrato de adoção da Praça Dezessete, localizada no bairro de Santo Antônio, próxima ao Fórum Thomaz de Aquino. O TJPE ficará responsável pela conservação do espaço público pelo prazo inicial de cinco anos. A cerimônia contou com a presença do prefeito em exercício, desembargador Ricardo Paes Barreto, e do desembargador Fausto Campos, primeiro vice-presidente do Tribunal.

A Praça Dezessete, projetada por Burle Marx, tem grande importância histórica e paisagística para o Recife. O espaço, que recebeu o nome em referência ao movimento republicano de 1817, possui monumentos como o Monumento Português à Aviação e uma fonte em cantaria com a estátua de uma índia representando a nação brasileira. O contrato estabelecido hoje visa garantir a conservação e manutenção da praça, preservando sua estética e funcionalidade.

Durante o evento, o prefeito em exercício, Ricardo Paes Barreto, ressaltou a importância da parceria entre os poderes judiciário e executivo para melhorar o ambiente urbano e a qualidade de vida dos cidadãos. O desembargador Fausto Campos destacou a relevância do convênio para a população do Recife e para o sistema judiciário.

Além da adoção da Praça Dezessete, o presidente do TJPE e prefeito interino, desembargador Ricardo Paes Barreto, participou de outros compromissos, incluindo uma visita de cortesia ao Senador Fernando Dueire e uma reunião sobre a Regata Cidade do Recife. Também esteve presente na instalação de um banco vermelho na Avenida Rio Branco, em iniciativa de enfrentamento ao feminicídio promovida pelo Instituto Banco Vermelho em parceria com a Prefeitura do Recife.

Esses eventos reforçam o compromisso da administração municipal e do Tribunal de Justiça com a segurança, o bem-estar e a valorização dos espaços públicos da cidade.
