A comunidade da Área 19, do Projeto Maria Tereza, em Petrolina, celebrou a reabertura da escola local, agora reformada e nomeada em homenagem ao líder comunitário Edivaldo José de Araújo (In Memorian).
O prefeito Simão Durando liderou a entrega da obra, que representa um investimento de mais de R$ 700 mil e inclui melhorias como climatização das salas, iluminação em led, e troca de instalações elétricas e hidráulicas. A iniciativa faz parte do compromisso da gestão municipal em proporcionar uma educação de qualidade, refletindo o contínuo investimento na infraestrutura das escolas de Petrolina.
A inauguração contou com a presença de lideranças comunitárias, vereadores e o ex-prefeito Miguel Coelho, que destacou o empenho do atual governo em oferecer educação de excelência para toda a cidade.
