Prefeito Simão Durando autoriza revitalização da praça Dom Malan em Petrolina

O prefeito Simão Durando autorizou a revitalização da praça Dom Malan, um dos principais cartões postais de Petrolina. O local, que está prestes a comemorar seu centenário, passará por uma reforma completa, incluindo melhorias no piso, iluminação em LED, instalação de novos bancos e fontes, além de paisagismo com grama e arborização.

As obras já estão em andamento, e os tapumes já podem ser vistos ao redor da praça. A revitalização não apenas irá embelezar o local, mas também preservará sua história e cultura, valorizando um ponto de parada importante tanto para moradores quanto para turistas que visitam a cidade.

Localizada no centro da cidade, a praça Dom Malan abriga a imponente Catedral de Petrolina, proporcionando um contexto europeu em pleno sertão. O prefeito ressaltou a importância desta reforma para a conservação do patrimônio histórico e cultural de Petrolina, destacando que a obra contribuirá para tornar a cidade ainda mais atrativa para os visitantes.
