Em homenagem ao Dia Mundial do Meio Ambiente comemorado nesta quarta-feira (05), a Prefeitura do Jaboatão dos Guararapes reuniu 50 alunos da Escola Municipal Vidal de Negreiros juntamente com a equipe de arborização da Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente do município para realizar o plantio 500 mudas de árvores no Parque da Cidade, em Prazeres. O prefeito Mano Medeiros, acompanhado da primeira-dama Andrea Medeiros, plantaram algumas mudas de árvores.
Após o plantio, o Parque da Cidade ganhou mais arborização e beleza com o plantio de várias espécies, entre elas aroeira-pimenta, acácia-amarela, peito-de-pombo, sapucaia, jacarandá-mimoso azul, cedro, mororó, ipê branco, ipê rosa, pau-brasil, entre outras.
Em paralelo ao plantio das mudas, alunos da Escola Municipal Nossa Escolas assistiram a uma palestra a respeito de educação ambiental, no Espaço Vida Marinha, recém-inaugurado no último dia 23 de maio, na praia de Piedade. O Vida Marinha é composto por contêineres, divididos em salas de exposição de materiais biológicos de animais marinhos, de palestras e debates, de triagem de animais, lojinha com produtos de artesãs do município, entre outros.
A programação em alusão ao Dia do Meio Ambiente, no Jaboatão, prosseguirá até o próximo domingo (09). Nesta quinta-feira (06), a partir das 10h, haverá outro plantio de mudas de árvores como parte do projeto Ciclo Verde, desta vez, em Jardim Jordão, com a participação da equipe de arborização da Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente.
Também nesta quinta, no Espaço Vida Marinha, será realizada outra palestra sobre educação ambiental envolvendo alunos da Escola Visconde de Suassuna, a partir das 9h.
Já na sexta-feira (07), acontecerá o lançamento do Inventário da Biodiversidade de Jaboatão: uma obra coletiva, a partir das 9h, no Espaço Vida Marinha. O evento contará com a presença de estudantes das escolas Giane de Freitas, em Prazeres, e Oscar Moura, em Candeias. No sábado (09) acontecerá a Feira de adoção de animais aberta ao público, no Espaço Vida Marinha, das 10h às 13h.
Finalizando a Semana do Meio Ambiente haverá diversas atividades de educação ambiental para visitantes do Espaço Vida Marinha, neste sábado e domingo, das 9h às 17h.
O prefeito Mano Medeiros enfatizou o quão importante é promover ações que estimulem a preservação do meio ambiente. “O poder público, iniciativa privada e sociedade civil precisam unir forças em busca de ações conjuntas que proporcionem sustentabilidade e equilíbrio ambiental”, falou.
LIXO ELETRÔNICO
A Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente do município promoveu nesta quarta-feira (05), o recolhimento de lixo eletrônico com a participação de servidores do Complexo Administrativo, em Jardim Jordão. O material recolhido foi trocado por sementes de hortaliças. A ação aconteceu também no Espaço Vida Marinha, na praia de Piedade.
