Na noite desta segunda-feira (8), a comunidade do bairro Jardim Guararapes, zona Oeste de Petrolina, celebrou a inauguração da 15ª Escola em Tempo Integral do município, um investimento significativo para a educação local. Nomeada em homenagem à Professora Albertina Gomes da Cruz, a unidade representa um avanço na qualidade do ensino oferecido aos estudantes petrolinenses.
O evento de inauguração contou com a presença de autoridades como o ex-prefeito Miguel Coelho e o ex-deputado federal Gonzaga Patriota, além de membros da família da homenageada, estudantes, profissionais da educação e moradores locais.
A nova escola, equipada com modernas instalações, atenderá 150 estudantes do 1º ao 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Possui seis salas de aula climatizadas, laboratório, biblioteca, refeitório, cozinha, bloco administrativo, entre outros espaços essenciais para o ensino e aprendizado.
Durante o evento, o prefeito Simão Durando enfatizou o compromisso da gestão com a educação de qualidade, destacando o lançamento do programa Bora Educar Mais, que representa um investimento de R$ 150 milhões na área educacional. O prefeito ressaltou a importância de continuar fortalecendo a modalidade de ensino em tempo integral em Petrolina.
O ex-prefeito Miguel Coelho também destacou o compromisso da gestão com o programa de educação integral, enfatizando o cumprimento das metas estabelecidas para a expansão das escolas em tempo integral até 2024.
A inauguração da 15ª Escola em Tempo Integral representa mais um passo na trajetória de transformação e desenvolvimento da educação em Petrolina, garantindo um ambiente propício para o aprendizado e crescimento dos estudantes.
