O chefe do Estado-Maior do Exército, general Richard Fernandes Nunes, fez uma visita a cidade do recife nesta terça-feira, dia 4 e falou sobre a polêmica em torno da construção da Escola de Sargentos do Exército (ESE) em Pernambuco. Segundo ele, a obra sairá do papel e se tornará realidade.
Segundo o general, o início da construção depende da conclusão do projeto de manejo florestal da área onde a escola será implementada, previsto para ser finalizado neste ano.
O ministro da Defesa, José Mucio Monteiro, concedeu entrevista ao programa ‘Cidade em Foco’, da Rede Pernambuco de Rádios (RPR) e ao Blog do Alberes Xavier e falou sobre o assunto. Ele foi taxativo e afirmou que enquanto estiver a frente da pasta, garantirá apoio integral para a instalação da ESE em Pernambuco. “É uma coisa mais que necessária para Pernambuco, é muito importante para o Nordeste e para o Brasil. Essa obra representa a descentralização de oportunidades, já que todas as escolas desse tipo estão localizadas no Sul ou Centro-Sul do país”.
Segundo o ministro, impasses foram gerados pelo fato da obra está localizada na Área de Preservação Ambiental (APA) Aldeia/Beberibe, uma região de Mata Atlântica. “Muitos estados, inclusive do Nordeste, querem que essa escola saia de Pernambuco”, cravou ele.
