Deputado relembrou sua trajetória e assumiu compromisso contra desinformação no estado.
O deputado estadual Júnior Matuto (PSB) fez nesta quinta-feira (14) seu primeiro discurso como parlamentar na Assembleia Legislativa de Pernambuco (Alepe). Com uma fala emotiva e carregada de simbolismo, Matuto relembrou sua trajetória de superação e elegeu o combate às “fake news” como uma das bandeiras de seu mandato.
“Desde o primeiro dia em que sentei na cadeira como deputado, o filme da minha história de luta passa pela minha cabeça. Sou de origem muito humilde. Comecei minha vida política disputando meu primeiro mandato enquanto ainda era motorista de caminhão do lixo. Trabalhava na coleta à noite e fazia campanha de dia,” lembrou o parlamentar, que já exerceu os mandatos de vereador e prefeito de Paulista por dois mandatos.
Combate às “fake news” – Vice-líder do PSB na Alepe, Matuto destacou que sua missão na Alepe será marcada pelo “senso de responsabilidade e de gratidão ao povo pernambucano e ao povo do Paulista” e se comprometeu a atuar com rigor contra as “fake news”, uma questão que ele considera crucial para a saúde do debate político e para a preservação da verdade.
“De onde vim, quando não se dava ouvido à mentira, ela não virava verdade. Mas hoje, uma mentira muitas vezes repetida acaba virando verdade,” alertou o deputado. Matuto criticou a proliferação de “milícias digitais” e “gabinetes do ódio” que disseminam desinformação e confundem a população. Para ele, a desinformação tem sido usada como ferramenta por aqueles que, sem um histórico de compromisso e serviços prestados, preferem manipular o eleitorado.
Por fim, o parlamentar reiterou seu compromisso de seguir atento às necessidades de Pernambuco, em especial às demandas do município de Paulista. “Serei um vigilante, um observador, alguém que vai estar atento ao estado de Pernambuco e, em especial, à cidade de Paulista,” concluiu.
