Um Carnaval gigante, à altura da grandeza da cidade, de sua cultura, de sua tradição e do entusiasmo e alegria do seu povo. Assim foi aberto oficialmente na noite desta quinta-feira, dia 27, os festejos carnavalescos deste ano da capital do Estado. Uma verdadeira multidão marcou presença no Marco Zero e se divertiu ao som de grandes atrações como Ney Matogrosso, Raphaela Santos e Marron Brasileiro.
O grande anfitrião da noite foi o prefeito João Campos, do PSB, que recebeu autoridades de todo o estado, acolheu a multidão presente e concedeu entrevista a imprensa. “O Recife tem um carnaval de rua, um carnaval democrático, acessível, e é uma festa linda com a cultura popular que temos em todo o Brasil”, disse ele.
O evento teve a cobertura do Blog do Alberes Xavier e da Rede Pernambuco de Rádios, que conta com mais de 40 emissoras e tem como ‘cabeça de rede’ a RPFM (104.3).
Segundo prefeito, a mensagem que ficou na abertura da festa foi ‘de muita alegria’ e reforçou o convite para as demais noites de eventos. “É um carnaval ainda maior esse ano, que a cada ano podemos apresentar nossa cultura e receber a grande cultura brasileira. É um carnaval que acolhe. Fico feliz quando vejo que qualquer grande artista brasileiro quer estar aqui”.
