O vice-presidente Geraldo Alckmin e o presidente da Associação Brasileira dos Produtores e Exportadores de Frutas (Abrafrutas), Guilherme Coelho, anunciaram o fechamento do acordo fitossanitário entre Brasil e China que permite a exportação das uvas brasileiras. O governo chinês irá, posteriormente, comunicar oficialmente a data para início da entrada da fruta no país.
O acordo foi finalizado durante a VII Sessão Plenária da Comissão Sino-Brasileira de Alto Nível de Concertação e Cooperação (COSBAN), realizada em Pequim. O vice-presidente Geraldo Alckmin liderou uma comitiva, formada por ministros, parlamentares e empresários, que trabalhou pelo fortalecimento das relações comerciais entre os dois países.
“A Abrafrutas está há quatro anos trabalhando para que esse acordo fosse fechado e estamos muito satisfeitos. Quero agradecer o apoio do vice-presidente e do ministro da Agricultura, Carlos Fávaro, que se empenharam para que as últimas tratativas fossem finalizadas. Estamos apenas aguardando que o governo chinês comunique a data, pois nossos fruticultores estão prontos para fornecer uma uva de grande qualidade”, disse Guilherme Coelho.
O consumo de frutas na China tem crescido significativamente nos últimos anos, impulsionado por uma crescente preocupação com a saúde e o bem-estar entre os consumidores chineses. As frutas são valorizadas por suas propriedades nutricionais e são frequentemente incluídas em dietas equilibradas.
Reflexos para o Vale do São Francisco
A abertura do mercado chinês para a uva brasileira trará reflexos positivos para o Brasil, sobretudo para o Vale do São Francisco. “Nossa região é a responsável pela produção de 95% da uva exportada. Agora, os fruticultores terão acesso a um mercado formado por 1 bilhão e 400 milhões de pessoas. Isso potencializará a produção e consequentemente a geração de empregos e renda para a população”, finalizou Guilherme Coelho.
