Governo do Estado amplia oferta de água para a população rural da cidade de Buenos Aires, na Zona da Mata Norte

Nesta quinta-feira (30), a governadora Raquel Lyra visitou o Sistema Simplificado de Abastecimento D’Água na comunidade Chã de Maltês, no município de Buenos Aires, na zona da mata norte do estado. A obra hídrica contou com investimentos de R$ 991.808,44, oriundos do próprio Governo do Estado e beneficia, com água tratada nas torneiras, um total de 95 famílias da localidade.

“Esta tem sido a solução de abastecimento que temos implementado nas comunidades rurais localizadas nas regiões de maior escassez de água do estado. São localidades onde os serviços comuns de abastecimento não chegam, por serem pequenos aglomerados de residências em áreas difusas e distantes das fontes hídricas. No caso de Buenos Aires, estamos atendendo a comunidade de Chã de Maltês, captando água da Adutora do Siriji, que transfere águas da barragem de mesmo nome, em Vicência, para o Agreste do estado”, explicou Almir Cirilo, secretário de recursos hídricos e saneamento do estado.

Os sistemas simplificados são a solução mais viável de abastecimento para territórios rurais. São menores do que os grandes sistemas que atendem as áreas urbanas – por isso, custam menos e demandam menor tempo de construção – compostos, em sua maioria, de: uma estrutura de captação da água, uma adutora, uma estação de tratamento e uma rede de distribuição. São obras executadas pela SRHS-PE e entregues à comunidade, que faz a autogestão, realizando o cadastro das residências ligadas à rede, a operação de ligamento e fechamento do fornecimento da água, a cobrança de contas e a manutenção do sistema. Na atual gestão, a SRHS-PE já entregou 24 sistemas simplificados de abastecimento, beneficiando cerca de três mil famílias, de 12 municípios, somando um investimento de cerca de R$ 24,6 milhões.

De acordo com Eduardo Vasconcelos, presidente da Associação de Pequenos Produtores Rurais de Chã de Maltês, que é a entidade que faz a gestão do sistema, a obra quebra um ciclo de gerações inteiras, destas famílias, que criaram seus filhos e netos sem ter direito a um banho de chuveiro. “A minha avó, por exemplo, morreu sem nunca ver a água chegar. Em nome dela, eu agradeço por finalmente o Governo do Estado nos enxergar e encerrar uma espera de décadas. As famílias aqui viveram toda a vida carregando água no lombo de um burro ou na cabeça e hoje, nossas crianças não saberão mais o que é viver desse jeito”, falou Eduardo.

No município de Buenos Aires, na localidade de Chã de Maltês, o sistema conta com Estação Elevatória de Água Tratada, que possui reservatório apoiado de 10 m³, de onde sai a Adutora de Água Tratada II, recalcando água até o reservatório elevado de 27 m³. O sistema possui 1.467,53 metros de extensão de adutora e 7.532,34 metros de rede de distribuição.
