Governadora Raquel Lyra celebra anúncio de ampliação da Refinaria Abreu e Lima

A governadora de Pernambuco, Raquel Lyra, celebrou nesta quinta-feira (18) o anúncio de ampliação da Refinaria Abreu e Lima (RNEST), localizada no município de Ipojuca, na Região Metropolitana do Recife. O investimento de R$ 43 bilhões deve gerar 30 mil empregos diretos e indiretos.

A cerimônia de anúncio foi realizada pelo presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, pelo presidente da Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, e pela governadora Raquel Lyra.

“Estamos verdadeiramente vivendo um tempo de mudança, em que contamos com a parceria do presidente Lula para devolver a Pernambuco o seu lugar de liderança. Estamos trabalhando incansavelmente para permitir que as pessoas tenham capacidade de sonhar, trabalhar, fazendo cada canto do nosso Estado se desenvolver. Este dia marca o reencontro do passado de Pernambuco com o seu futuro”, ressaltou Raquel Lyra.

O projeto de ampliação da RNEST contempla a construção do Trem 2, que está em fase de contratação e tem data para finalização em 2028, quando a refinaria pernambucana terá capacidade para processar 260 mil barris de petróleo por dia.

Dentro das ações que serão realizadas na RNEST, ainda está prevista a construção da primeira unidade SNOX do refino brasileiro, responsável por transformar óxido de enxofre (SOx) e óxido de nitrogênio (NOx) em um novo produto para comercialização. De acordo com a Petrobras, estas obras já estão em andamento e a unidade começa a operar ainda este ano. O Trem 1 também será atendido com uma ampliação, proporcionando aumento de carga, melhor escoamento de produtos leves e maior capacidade de processamento de petróleo do pré-sal. A expectativa da estatal é de concluir esta obra no Trem 1 no primeiro trimestre de 2025.

“Essa refinaria tem o grau máximo de resiliência. Estamos aumentando o Trem 1 e ampliando o Trem 2 também, com 70% de capacidade de produção de Diesel. O investimento que está sendo feito será recolhido através de impostos federais e estaduais. Estamos reabrindo a possibilidade de produzir mais e adaptar esta refinaria para o futuro”, disse o presidente da Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates.

Presente no evento, o ministro de Portos e Aeroportos, Silvio Costa Filho, destacou a criação de empregos no local. “São investimentos que geram empregos, ampliam a competitividade e são fundamentais para o desenvolvimento de Pernambuco e todo o Nordeste”, pontuou.
