Governadora em exercício, Priscila Krauze vistoria obras do Canal do Fragoso em Olinda

A governadora em exercício, Priscila Krause, realizou uma vistoria nesta quinta-feira (11) nas obras do Canal do Fragoso, localizado no município de Olinda, na Região Metropolitana do Recife. Com um investimento total de R$ 330 milhões provenientes dos governos estadual e federal, os trabalhos visam a pavimentação das vias adjacentes ao canal, além de revestimento e a realização de um mutirão de limpeza em parceria com a Prefeitura de Olinda para a retirada de baronesas e desassoreamento do canal.

Durante a visita, Priscila Krause destacou a importância da celeridade dada pela gestão de Raquel Lyra na conclusão desta obra aguardada há mais de uma década. A obra, considerada uma das maiores de drenagem e mobilidade da Região Metropolitana, beneficiará significativamente a população de Olinda, mitigando os impactos das enchentes frequentes na região.

A atual gestão da Companhia Estadual de Habitação e Obras (Cehab) conseguiu superar trâmites administrativos que atrasavam a execução do contrato devido a problemas com a empresa anteriormente contratada. O trecho 3 da obra foi retomado e engloba serviços de terraplenagem, pavimentação, drenagem, sinalização, iluminação e paisagismo das vias marginais ao canal, abrangendo desde a rua Bom Jardim até a Avenida Sérgio G. Vasconcelos. Também estão previstas ligações com as ruas já existentes e a construção de lajes de transição. Em outro trecho, está sendo realizado o alargamento e revestimento do canal até a ponte de Rio Doce.

O diretor-presidente da Cehab, Paulo Lira, assegurou que o governo estadual tem priorizado a retomada das obras em todos os trechos afetados por problemas anteriores, inclusive o último trecho, que está em processo de licitação e contratação. A expectativa é de que essa grande obra beneficie amplamente a população local.
