Quase R$ 19 milhões (Dezenove Milhões de Reais). Esse foi o montante das dívidas identificadas pelo prefeito de Arcoverde, Zeca Cavalcanti, numa radiografia da grave situação do município deixada pela gestão anterior. Os números foram levantados pela equipe de transição de Zeca, coordenada pelo jurista Pedro Melchior, agora Procurador municipal.
“Nós não estamos promovendo nenhuma ‘caça às bruxas’, muito menos apresentando números aleatórios. Todos os dados são oficiais e analisados com todo cuidado e responsabilidade. Infelizmente, estamos diante de uma situação gravíssima nas contas de Arcoverde. E temos a obrigação de passar essas informações para a população”, esclareceu Zeca Cavalcanti.
Os números apresentados na Coletiva de Imprensa de hoje, de fato, revelam um descontrole administrativo sério, por parte da gestão anterior. Apenas com fornecedores, a prefeitura de Arcoverde tem dívidas de R$ 8.759.900,61. Os débitos Previdenciários somam R$ 4.432.918,65. Os Precatórios acumulam R$ 1.604.636,84. E a AESA – Autarquia de Ensino Superior de Arcoverde, tem débitos de R$ 3.845.016,54. No total, um montante de R$ 18.642.472,64.
O caos administrativo da gestão anterior se refletiu nas secretarias e nas ruas. Os exemplos são gritantes: há 2 mil pontos de luz sem lâmpadas ou com lâmpadas queimadas; A Secretaria de Saúde tem 25 veículos inoperantes e apenas 3 carros de passeio e 3 ambulâncias têm condições de uso; Todos os 11 prédios usados pela Secretaria de Assistência Social estão com os aluguéis atrasados, com a água suspensa pela Compesa, e alguns com a energia cortada por falta de pagamento.
Em meio ao diagnóstico do caos da gestão passada, Zeca Cavalcanti trouxe uma boa notícia na Coletiva de Imprensa. Zeca é o primeiro prefeito de Pernambuco a anunciar o reajuste do piso do magistério: nos próximos dias, um projeto de lei será enviado à Câmara de Vereadores para garantir um reajuste de 6,27% aos professores da Rede Municipal de Arcoverde.

Two of Europe’s great capitals are now linked by their first direct high-speed train connection. Germany’s Deutsche Bahn introduced a daytime InterCity Express (ICE) service between Paris and Berlin on December 16 and is planning to add a second route between the two capitals in 2026.
Taking advantage of its new fleet of 200 mph (322 kph) ICE3neo trains, the once-a-day service takes around eight hours in each direction, also serving Strasbourg, Karlsruhe and Frankfurt on its 546-mile (878-kilometer) journey.
Fares start from around $60, and each train has capacity for 444 passengers, of which 111 can enjoy the additional comfort of leather seats and at-seat refreshments in first class.
The new high-speed ICE service is the first direct daytime train between Paris and Berlin since the 1990s and complements the Nightjet sleeper service introduced in 2023.
It may not be as fast as flying — some of the journey has to use lower speed “classic” lines to bridge gaps in the European high-speed network — but it is undoubtedly a more sustainable and more stylish way to travel across Europe.
