Câmara dos Deputados instala Frente Parlamentar pela Licença-Paternidade

BRASÍLIA – A Câmara dos Deputados instalou, no último dia 5, a Frente Parlamentar Mista pela Licença-Paternidade. O deputado federal Pedro Campos (PSB-PE) é o secretário executivo deste grupo que pretende avançar com a regulamentação da licença-paternidade no país.

“Estamos continuando a luta iniciada pelo deputado Alceni Guerra que colocou a licença-paternidade na Constituição de 88. Quase 40 anos depois, vamos finalmente regulamentar e estender essa licença aos pais, para fazer justiça com as mulheres na divisão da responsabilidade com os filhos e principalmente, para que essas crianças tenham seus pais presentes de verdade, em todos os tipos de famílias”, afirmou.

Após provocação do Supremo Tribunal Federal em dezembro de 2023, através de Ação Direta de Inconstitucionalidade por Omissão Legislativa, o Congresso Nacional tem menos de 18 meses para legislar sobre a questão.

“Vamos trabalhar e avançar em parâmetros legais para que a licença-paternidade seja aprovada ainda este ano. É importante que os pais participem ativamente do início da vida de seus filhos, para as mães terem a responsabilidade do cuidado dividido”, concluiu.
