Araripina: Circuito Araripinense de Vaquejada 2023 encerra com sucesso

No último sábado, 9 de dezembro, a cidade de Araripina celebrou a grande final do Circuito Araripinense de Vaquejada Augusto Modesto Sobrinho 2023, um evento marcante no calendário cultural e esportivo da região. Organizado pela Prefeitura, o circuito, que teve início em fevereiro, atravessou cinco etapas emocionantes em diversos parques de vaquejadas dos distritos e povoados, com a grande final no Parque Três Vaqueiros.

Este ano, o evento ganhou um significado especial com a inauguração da nova pista de vaquejada, agora batizada de Arena Joaquim Afonso Modesto. Essa homenagem póstuma ao médico veterinário e entusiasta da vaquejada, que faleceu em janeiro deste ano, ressalta a importância da tradição na cultura local.

A Arena Joaquim Afonso Modesto passou por melhorias, incluindo a construção de um novo muro de alvenaria e grades de ferro, reformas completas nas cabines de locução e juízes, além da recuperação da cerca de madeira dos currais e corredores. Um sistema de iluminação modernizado também foi implementado, elevando o patamar do evento.

O prefeito Raimundo Pimentel, na cerimônia de abertura, destacou a importância dessas melhorias: “Essas reformas e a nova arena não são apenas um tributo a Joaquim Afonso Modesto, mas também um investimento na cultura e na tradição da vaquejada de Araripina. Nosso objetivo é proporcionar um espaço seguro e moderno para competidores e espectadores, mantendo viva essa tradição tão importante para a nossa economia.”

Na competição acirrada, Jucilano Silva, representando a AgroTop / Haras Horse Comander, foi o grande campeão, levando para casa uma moto pop 110 zero km. O público, além de testemunhar emocionantes disputas, teve a oportunidade de curtir os shows de Kauanzim Vaqueiro, Mastruz com Leite e Mano Walter.

Com essas inovações e um espetáculo de alta qualidade, o Circuito Araripinense de Vaquejada 2023 se consolida como um evento de destaque, promovendo a cultura e o esporte local, e já deixa expectativas elevadas para sua próxima edição que começa já em fevereiro com a primeira etapa.
