Primeira cidade do interior do Nordeste a ter agenda oficial do presidente Jair Bolsonaro, Petrolina vai receber novos investimentos do Governo Federal em infraestrutura e incentivo à fruticultura. O anúncio foi realizado, nesta sexta-feira (24), durante uma entrevista coletiva para a imprensa na cidade sertaneja com o chefe do executivo, que estava ladeado pelo prefeito Miguel Coelho, o senador Fernando Bezerra e ministros da República.Na conversa com os jornalistas, o presidente Jair Bolsonaro garantiu que grandes investimentos já estão programados para a região nordestina. Parte desses recursos, será destinada para Petrolina e o restante do Vale do São Francisco através de linhas de crédito da Caixa Econômica para fruticultura e obras. “Em relação à parte local, a Caixa está lançando uma linha de R$ 500 milhões em toda essa região do São Francisco”, informou o presidente do órgão federal, Pedro Guimarães, ao lado de Jair Bolsonaro.
O prefeito Miguel Coelho considerou a visita positiva para destravar recursos em obras na cidade. O gestor acredita que após a sinalização de Bolsonaro, além da linha de crédito da Caixa, a duplicação da BR-428, e a construção de viadutos na Sete de Setembro devem ser iniciadas no segundo semestre. “Conversei pessoalmente com o presidente Bolsonaro, e os representantes da Caixa e do Ministério do Desenvolvimento Regional. Nossa expectativa é já em julho ou agosto anunciar grandes obras. Além disso, tivemos uma reunião importante com os diretores da Caixa nessa agenda, que asseguraram o destravamento de recursos que estavam contingenciados para o Bodódromo entre outras intervenções. Então, novamente, o resumo é que a força política está sendo decisiva para mais progresso em Petrolina”, avaliou Miguel após a visita presidencial.
Na passagem por Petrolina, o presidente ainda inaugurou o conjunto residencial Morada Nova. O empreendimento tem 472 apartamentos e é financiado pelo programa Minha Casa Minha Vida.
