O deputado federal Eduardo da Fonte (PP-PE) solicitou ao Ministério da Saúde a implantação do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (SAMU) nos dez municípios que compõem o Sertão do Araripe, em Pernambuco.
O pedido foi encaminhado nesta terça-feira (8) ao ministro Alexandre Padilha, com o objetivo de garantir atendimento emergencial de saúde à população da região, que soma mais de 330 mil habitantes. O pleito chegou ao gabinete de Eduardo da Fonte através da deputada estadual Roberta Arraes (PP-PE).
Na solicitação, Eduardo da Fonte destacou a carência histórica de infraestrutura e a escassez de recursos destinados à saúde nos municípios de Araripina, Bodocó, Exu, Granito, Ipubi, Moreilândia, Ouricuri, Santa Cruz, Santa Filomena e Trindade. “A ausência de um serviço estruturado de urgência tem agravado situações como acidentes, complicações obstétricas e doenças agudas, o que contribui para o aumento de mortes evitáveis”, afirmou o parlamentar.
A implantação do SAMU, segundo o deputado, reduzirá o tempo de resposta em situações críticas, possibilitando atendimento imediato por equipes especializadas e bem equipadas. Além disso, o serviço será integrado à rede do SUS, fortalecendo tanto a atenção básica quanto a referência hospitalar na região.
“Esse é um passo muito importante para garantir mais segurança e agilidade no atendimento às emergências. Conheço de perto a realidade do nosso povo e sei o quanto esse serviço pode salvar vidas e transformar a saúde no Sertão do Araripe”, afirmou a deputada Roberta Arraes.
