Cadoca deixa legado na política pernambucana 

Carlos Eduardo Cintra da Costa Pereira, mais conhecido como Cadoca, nasceu em 23 de abril de 1940, na década de oitenta elegeu-se vereador do Recife, ficando no cargo por três mandatos, até que em 1994 foi eleito deputado estadual, e chegou pela primeira vez à Câmara dos Deputados em 1998, ficando no cargo por cinco mandatos.

No executivo, Cadoca foi secretário de Desenvolvimento Econômico,  Turismo e Esportes da gestão de Jarbas Vasconcelos, permanecendo no posto durante a gestão de Roberto Magalhães. Com a ascensão de Jarbas ao governo de Pernambuco, Cadoca teve novo destaque, novamente como comandante da pasta de Desenvolvimento Econômico, Turismo e Esportes, sendo responsável pelo crescimento de Suape e também de ações voltadas para o turismo no estado. Seu trabalho o credenciou para disputar a prefeitura do Recife em 2004, porém não obteve êxito, sendo derrotado por João Paulo, que tentava a reeleição.

Na segunda tentativa em 2008, Cadoca novamente não obteve êxito, porém sua paixão pelo Recife era latente em sua vida pública. Apesar de não ter conseguido realizar seu grande sonho, sua trajetória ficou marcada não só pelas realizações que executou ao longo da sua vida pública, bem como pela seriedade e pelo respeito como tratava a política e a gestão pública.

Cadoca do Recifolia, do Circuito do Frio, de Suape, Cadoca de Recife, de Pernambuco, da política. Uma perda irreparável neste domingo para quem acompanhou a bela trajetória desempenhada por ele nos seus oitenta anos de vida e metade dedicada à política.

Jarbas Vasconcelos – O senador Jarbas Vasconcelos lamentou a partida do amigo Cadoca, com quem teve idas e vindas, mas que recentemente reataram a relação pessoal. Com a partida de Cadoca, Jarbas fica no seleto grupo mais experiente da política pernambucana, que também compreende Roberto Magalhães, José Queiroz, Inocêncio Oliveira, Joaquim Francisco e Gustavo Krause.

Silvio Costa – Visivelmente emocionado, o ex-deputado Silvio Costa também lamentou a partida de Cadoca. Na eleição de 2004 eles tiveram duros embates, porém Silvio disse que se pudesse voltar no tempo, teria ajudado Cadoca a realizar o sonho de ser prefeito do Recife.

Sucessor – O vereador Samuel Salazar (MDB) configurou-se no herdeiro político do legado de Cadoca. Nas eleições deste ano, Salazar obteve uma expressiva votação com 9.188 votos, sendo reeleito para a Casa José Mariano. Cadoca participou ativamente na construção do seu projeto político.

Encontro – A Amupe realiza nesta segunda-feira um encontro com os prefeitos eleitos na cidade de Gravatá. Além da presença do governador Paulo Câmara, o evento contará com uma importante palestra sobre a vacina do Butantã para a COVID-19.
