Sob nova dimensão 

Apesar de existir desde 1952 e ter importante função social, o Banco do Nordeste tem conquistado importantes avanços para a população dos onze estados abrangidos pela instituição. Desde que assumiu a presidência da instituição, por se tratar de um ex-governador de um importante estado da federação, Paulo Câmara tem conseguido dar outra dimensão ao banco.

O presidente do BNB tem sido frequentemente recebido pelo presidente Lula e por diversos ministros para tratar de demandas da instituição e isso tem feito com que o Banco do Nordeste passe a ter um protagonismo que não vinha se observando nos últimos anos. Alguém com o perfil de Paulo Câmara, um técnico com sensibilidade política, tem sido um grande diferencial para os resultados obtidos pelo BNB, que tem se traduzido na ampliação da oferta de crédito e na redução de taxas de juros ao pequeno produtor.

Com a irrestrita confiança do presidente Lula, Paulo Câmara, que recentemente recebeu em Fortaleza na sede do Banco o chefe da nação, tem obtido um novo patamar para o Banco do Nordeste, não é a toa que muitos acreditam que numa reforma ministerial, o ex-governador poderá ser escolhido por Lula para ocupar alguma pasta de relevo. Mas enquanto isso não acontece, indiscutivelmente o presidente do Banco do Nordeste vem fortalecendo a instituição e por tabela consolidando a sua fama de bom gestor que o levou a ser candidato a governador de Pernambuco nas eleições de 2014 após passar por importantes secretarias no governo Eduardo Campos.

Bancada – O presidente do Supremo, Luís Roberto Barroso, recebeu, nesta segunda (20), integrantes da primeira Bancada Negra da Câmara dos Deputados. “Dos povos que construíram a nacionalidade brasileira, a população negra é talvez a que tenha tido menos reconhecimento, e todos temos o compromisso de reparar essa situação”, afirmou Barroso.
