Na avaliação de um experiente observador político em reserva, o movimento de André de Paula em avançar no entendimento com a governadora Raquel Lyra teve todas as digitais do presidente Lula. Ministro da Pesca e macielista de carteirinha, André jamais teria feito um movimento de aproximação com a governadora Raquel Lyra sem a anuência de Gilberto Kassab e do próprio presidente.

A equação tem a ver com a disputa de 2024. O PT quer a vice de João Campos para poder costurar 2026. Pois se João for candidato terá que ceder a prefeitura ao partido, se não for, ficará obrigado a apoiar um candidato do PT para enfrentar Raquel Lyra. João Campos tem hoje em sua base o PSD, o PT, o MDB, o Republicanos e o União Brasil, além de legendas menores. Além do PSD, outros dois partidos também estão alinhados com a governadora, o União Brasil e o MDB, que ocupam espaços no governo estadual.

O Republicanos de Silvio Costa Filho, também está alinhado com João Campos, e em breve ocupará um espaço na esplanada, assim como André, deverá favores ao presidente. Isso exige uma equação em que o PSB trate a aliança com o PT como prioritária para a construção de um projeto de reeleição.

Para este mesmo observador, João Campos terá que solidificar ainda mais a aliança com o PT e com Lula para amarrar outros partidos com vistas a 2024. Por isso, toda equação a partir de agora passa por uma posição privilegiada do partido na gestão e indicando o seu vice.
